Birthed out of love and necessity:

Our journey to understand the benefits of Elderberry started when traditional medications failed. Our two kids really suffered during the fall and winter months. The coughing and excessive nose funk had my husband and I really looking for relief. We tried over the counter allergy meds, the pediatrician and prescriptions, and networking with other moms to try to find solutions, with all the final results being the same. No change!!! We believe that God provides solutions, so we didn’t give up!

A friend, who had relied on natural remedies while growing up and now is a pediatric neurologist suggested Elderberry.

We went to our local health food store and picked up a bottle of what seemed to be the most popular and expensive elderberry concoction.

We were hopeful, but the kidsd hated the taste! All the research we had done on this natural “health booster” motivated us further to find a solution that would be both safe and enjoyable for our kids.

We tried some local elixirs and their taste was terrible too.

I researched the proper way to extract the Elderberry and realized it has to start with the quality of berry!

1.) It has to be Organic and it has to come from a source that is committed to non-GMO. (harder than it sounds)

After several months of looking, interviewing and tasting, we found an incredible co-op that was committed to the same values!

2.) Honey is a key ingredient, but some of you may have seen the special on Netflix on the “shadiness” of manufactured honey. After years of searching and investment I finally found a great local honey!

3.) After dozens of different recipes, we finally found one that tasted AMAZING! We were so thrilled. But if we are going to give this to our children,

4.) we had to be sure that the entire process was safe

⁃ we cook in a commercial kitchen

⁃ Our ingredients are of the highest quality

⁃ We carefully brew to the correct temperature

⁃ we use sterile packaging

⁃ We got licensed

Once we had EVERYTHING in place, we started to share it with our family. The result was simply astounding! Members of our family were finding relief from allergies and a lot of the nasty sickness that was going around. Requests started to pour in and it was at that point we knew we had a great opportunity to serve our community.

ElderB was born.
